Oreo Cookie Lab

Students measured the filling in three types of Oreo Cookies to determine if filling amounts matched the advertising. The independent variable is three types of Oreos.

Hypothesis: Mega stuff has less stuffing than the double stuff.

Method:
1. We peeled off the middle part
2. Measured the mass from the mega, double and single stuff
3. Then we used the triple beam balance to measure the mass 4. We recorded the data that we got from the triple bean balance

Data Table:
Elements   Planets  Cars        Disney   Presidents   Ratio (cars)
Original:              3.27 g       4.35 g      3.129 g    11.1 g     2.85 g        1 : 1
Double Stuff        6.17 g        6.3 g      6.480 g   11.3 g      6.33 g          2.07 : 1
Mega Stuff:          8.96 g       9.04 g     9.35 g     17.7 g      8.90 g       2.99  :  1

Conclusion: The mega stuff ended up weighing more.
